Jefferson Resource Center
The Jefferson Resource Center & Computer Lab works to help
residents of public housing and Section 8 achieve their self-sufficiency
goals by being an educational, recreational and employment
resource for this community. Through the use of written, oral
and electronic materials and services, the JRC will encourage
residents to increase their computer and language literacy
skills to improve their education and employment development.
Ongoing programs are:
- providing computer training
- helping residents create and update resumes
- providing Rosetta Stone (which teaches English)
- a program to help resident learn or improve their typing skills
- boys' and girls' programs
